Details:

This trip will be based at the NOLS Three Peaks Ranch in Boulder, Wyoming. Food and lodging is available for those who wish, or you can arrange your own. Meditation and reflection time will be offered every morning at sunrise, followed by time for breakfast before meeting as a group to ‘play’ with our horses.  We will also incorporate opportunities for half-day rides in the foothills of Wind River Mountains, or you can take personal time to relax, meditate, journal, etc. Each evening, we will gather after dinner to simply reflect on the day and spend time together. Depending on group excitement, we’ll end the day with a campfire.

Elements:

• Guided mindfulness practices including meditation, grounding exercises, and solo reflection time.

• Mindful connection with horses, including bodywork, groundwork, and riding exercises.

• Time in nature with horses - daily rides into the foothills of the Wind River Range. 

• Group connection with horses, exploring herd dynamics, and how our connection and leadership with our horses reflects our connection and leadership with others, and with ourselves. 

• Community connection - shared meals and evenings with music around the fire. 

TRAVEL: Arrive to the ranch at 4:00pm on September 17th. Depart on September 21st by 1:00 pm. Closest airports are Riverton, WY and Jackson Hole, where you can rent a car. Other options are Rock Springs, Casper, Denver, or Salt Lake City.

Cost:

This clinic is unique in that there are quite a few options that you can choose from. You can bring your own horse, or rent one. You can go to Pinedale and eat out, bring your own food and cook for yourself, or you can join the Three Peaks Ranch staff for meals. You can also figure out your own lodging (camp out/sleep in your trailer/hotel) or get a room at the ranch. Rooms at the ranch have twin beds, and the bathrooms and showers are shared…. You have the freedom of making the choices that work for your budget!
